The Iowa Department of Natural Resources Water Quality Monitoring and Assessment section monitors physical and chemical parameters at a large number of rivers, lakes, wetlands, and groundwater locations throughout the state. AQuIA is a public information portal for retrieving the results of water monitoring conducted by the WQMA section or one of its designees.
AQuIA does not contain results from monitoring public drinking water systems. These systems follow different state and federal regulations and monitoring is conducted by separate authorities. Monitoring results for these systems can be found by visiting the Water Monitoring Atlas.
