You may need a local flood plain permit. Always check with your local flood plain manager to determine if you need a local permit. Local Flood Plain Contact Information:
The project may be located on land purchased with federal funds and will require approval from certain federal government agencies before a permit can be issued. This may increase review time 3-6 months in addition to the standard review time and requires additional documentation to be submitted. Please contact the Sovereign Lands Construction Permit Coordinator at 515-330-6432 or at seth.moore@dnr.iowa.gov for further information.
Your project is located near or on a State of Iowa Preserve. Any activity on state preserves must be approved by the State
Preserves Advisory Board (SPAB) before construction on these areas can begin. Please contact John Pearson at 515-669-7614 or
at john.pearson@dnr.iowa.gov for more information.

communities in the surrounding area that could potentially be impacted by the project. Please visit the following link to the Environmental Review
submittal page for more information at https://programs.iowadnr.gov/permt/Application/ERRequestForm or contact staff directly at 515-330-6432.
