6/19/2025 Re: May MOR Gastineau, Janet <janet.gastineau@dnr.iowa.gov> Wed, Jun 18, 3:05?PM (1 day ago) to MCH Well, most operators call over 1 NTU because they don't know about the 1.49 NTU, and they're usually shaken up enough when it happens to want to consult. Anyway, I'll accept the MOR as revised (no treatment technique violation) but you're got to get the turbidity protocol up-to-date and give me a timeline for your SCADA integrator coming in to review data capture and recovery. Going forward, all MORs will have to have the new way of counting the number of turbidity readings taken daily. And on the summary page we’ve made the corresponding adjustments to Section 4a-c. The reason we didn’t call about the >1NTU which according to the CFE 1 NTU letter which you had sent, we aren’t required to call unless the NTU is greater than 1.49 NTU? Are we interpreting both the letter you sent and the notes on our operational permit incorrectly? JANET GASTINEAU
6/17/2025 percent of readings less than or equal to 0.3 NTU was 59.15 percent for May TTV issued I called Mike to inform him and to revise the MOR because he used 652 turbidity readings to calculate his CFE turbidity summary. JANET GASTINEAU
