Add the information you got from the SCADA guy to your document and make sure it's available during sanitary surveys and your staff is trained on it. Do I need to sign and date that protocall on your end thanks MIKE From: Gastineau, Janet <janet.gastineau@dnr.iowa.gov> Sent: Tuesday, June 9, 2020 3:26 PM To: Water plant <waterplant@madridiowa.org> Subject: Re: Calibration and Verification Protocol Great progress. Thanks for working on this. The only comment I have is to be sure you can access the raw data that is collected by SCADA and is used to create the trends you mention accessing based on month and year. You must have access to the raw data. Talk to your integrator about this. Let me know what you find out and then I can approve the protocol. Thanks Mike! 5/4/2020 follow up email sent 5/4/2020: Attached is my review of the turbidimeter protocol. Please plan to make revisions and resubmit the document by June 1, 2020, and let me know at that time what the schedule is for coordinating changes to SCADA with your system integrator. I've also attached a guidance document for preparing the protocol. JANET GASTINEAU
5/1/2020 Gastineau, Janet <janet.gastineau@dnr.iowa.gov> Attachments 2:48 PM (0 minutes ago) to Scott, Michael Regarding the response to the sanitary survey...I have not received the operator certification compliance schedules for those staff members performing shift work, but are not properly certified. Please complete the attached forms for necessary staff and submit them. As a reminder, the Madrid WTP is classified as WT3 and WD2; therefore, shift operators must be classified WT2 and WD1. There was also additional information requested regarding process optimization goals, so I have included an attachment that summarizes these goals. More information is available at: https://www.iowadnr.gov/environmental-protection/water-quality/water-supply-engineering/optimization-program-awop I will send something next week regarding the turbidimeter protocol.
