6/29/2017 Dominic and I were talking on 6/27/17 about the Xenia Madrid system DBPR MCL and what could be going on with Madrid that is causing this. Dominic said Mike from Madrid told him the DNR told him to increase chlorine. We did not, but did require CT to be calculated differently because of the higher pH. I agreed to send Dominic some of the data: Gastineau, Janet <janet.gastineau@dnr.iowa.gov> Attachments2:54 PM (0 minutes ago) to Contact I ran chlorine numbers going back to 2013 to the present and there is a definite upward trend in the disinfectant residual at the source/entry point and a downward trend in CT. Keep in mind the lowest free chlorine value I used is the lowest reported on the MOR for the full monthly period, so every other daily residual would be higher than this. I'm glad I ran the numbers to confirm suspicions---data doesn't lie. Madrid's DBPR data is also attached. I run a graph when I get a little more time so we see what it is really doing besides being "fine." JANET GASTINEAU
