5/20/2014	Owner Katie Bell called with two questions: In they event they sell their business, can the demanufacturing permit be transferred? I stated that the new owner must have had someone who went to the class, get the financial assurance changed and, as long as the operation maintained the status quo, DNR would issue a revise permit after receipt of written request. Can appliances be demanufactured in the field where they are picked up? I stated that they could not. They can be inspected in the field and, if there are no components that require removal, they can mark them as demanufactured in the field and treat them as unregulated scrap. However, all removal of potentially hazardous components must be done at the permitted location.	DAVID MILLER
