11/4/2013 I called Nick about the recent positive fecal results at the "air compressor room" and "Well 1." He will take three Repeat samples for the "air compressor room." (Upstream, Downstream, and Same location). Both wells have been running recently, so he will also take two Trigger samples. We discussed the sampling locations, and they appeared to be appropriate. Nick stated that he has ordered Well 1 to be shut down until the issue is resolved. He said they shock-chlorinated the well on about October 25 and took five Routine samples on October 31. They also ordered a new well cap to replace the one that is cracked. Their contractor did not observe any problems with the well. They did not chlorinate or do any other work with the tower or distribution system. I said that they should normally attempt to take samples earlier in the month. I also said that it was likely that they would be in violation for not sampling at five locations in the distribution system during October. I also said that a well evaluation/chlorination would be required if they receive another Acute MCL. We agreed to discuss the situation again on Monday (11/4/13). The boil advisory is still in affect that started October 2. Nick verified that the boil advisory is still posted at the facility. I said that this would continue until the issue is resolved.
