5/6/2013	Travis Bell called on 6MAY13 and asked if he could tear down an agricultural building, source separate and grind the clean wood, then take to the Ames waste-to-energy plant. This sounded similar to a conversation I had with Steven Friesth, and I asked if he intended to use Mr. Friesth’s grinder. Mr. Bell indicated that he did. I stated that it was my understanding that Mr. Friesth’s grinder was grandfathered in under the air regulations and did not need an air discharge permit. I also advised him to check with the Ames plant, because I knew of several instances where people had approached them with regard to taking similar waste streams and in each case they had refused. I also went over the asbestos testing, abatement and notification requirements regarding the demolition of commercial buildings.	DAVID MILLER
