11/5/2012 1039 hrs: Returned a phone call to Tom Madden, Yaggy-Colby Associates. Tom was reporting that Sparboe had removed approximately one-half of the manure solids from the lagoon at the facility, however, due to the advanced state of farm tillage this fall, they can no longer find any farmers willing to take the manure. Therefore, they have no choice but to suspend the project at this time. According to Tom, the lagoon sides and bottom have been scraped and the remaining solids are piled in the center of the lagoon. Sparboe intends to resume solids removal in Spring 2013, depending upon weather, etc. If the project cannot be completed in the spring, they intend to have it completed by Fall 2013. Tom asked if this would be acceptable. I stated I found it acceptable, due to circumstances beyond Sparboe's control; and Tom agreed to send a letter of project status for the facility file. I also requested to be kept informed of the project status in 2013, and Tom agreed to do so. TRENT LAMBERT
