2/17/2026	Andy called back and stated they do not intend to go through the FP permit process and will instead be hauling everything to the landfill.	ALISON MANZ
1/26/2026	Andy provided a map of where they would like to place the broken pieces of concrete from the building. I responded with : I checked Streamstats for this location, and it drains 9.82 sq miles (technically only greater than 10 square miles in a rural area would require a permit). However, it's so close to the 10 that I also pre-screened your project through our Floodplains database and it returned a yes..see the screenshot below. Here is the link for you to apply for a floodplain permit. It's a pretty easy application and does not cost anything. However, as we discussed, the floodplains section reviews the projects in the order they are received. So, you would likely need to stockpile the broken pieces of concrete somewhere until you either receive a permit or they tell you a permit is not required.	ALISON MANZ
1/14/2026	Andy called and said the insurance company agrees that the metal will be salvaged and the rest will go to the landfill. They finally got power back to the other houses yesterday. They are beginning to get bids for cleanup.	ALISON MANZ
1/7/2026	During the evening of 1-5-26 a fire broke out at the facility resulting in one of the barns being completely destroyed within about 25 minutes. The barn was empty of chickens and manure (they had a new flock coming in next week so the building was cleaned out in preparation). I spoke with Andy Kaldenberg and he stated they have not done anything with the barn as they are waiting on insurance adjusters. However, he believes all of the metal will be scrapped and the wood taken to a landfill. However, he will reach out if plans change after the insurance adjusters assess the site.	ALISON MANZ
