7/10/2024 Re: Public water supply opcert Gastineau, Janet <janet.gastineau@dnr.iowa.gov> 8:31?AM (0 minutes ago) to Scott Another thing I thought of is an Excel spreadsheet that is available for the transfer of knowledge; it helps operators consolidate system information into one location, enabling increased organization and coordination among operators. It can be found at https://www.epa.gov/dwcapacity/interactive-tools-owners-and-operators. JANET GASTINEAU
7/10/2024 Scott had questions about opcert when Mike retires 9/2025. After our conversation he asked for a written summary: Public water supply opcert Gastineau, Janet <janet.gastineau@dnr.iowa.gov> Tue, Jul 9, 10:13?PM (10 hours ago) to Scott Scott, the City will be required to obtain the services of a properly certified operator within six months of Mike's retirement. An opcert compliance plan will be required to acknowledge how the City intends to accomplish this. Since this is a surface water influenced groundwater source, no extensions beyond the six month period will be allowed and shift operators must be classified with a minimum grade 2 water treatment and distribution certification. Please let me know if you have any questions about these requirements. JANET GASTINEAU
