The email and his original email read as follows: Ryk, Jon <jon.ryk@dnr.iowa.gov> Tue, Apr 9, 8:33?AM to Albert, Jeff, Kurt Thanks Jimmy, I would suggest adding some regular checks of the containment basin as we discussed so that you have a way to ensure that the water in the containment basin is not allowed to get to high so that it overflows but also checking to ensure it is not manure impacted before releasing it. That should include some basic water quality testing, such as for ammonia, pH, etc. Another recommendation is to have a plan for any future unintended release that would include places you can access the creek to dam up and pump any impacted water from the creek. Please feel free to give me a call or email if you want to discuss further. I have copied this to Jeff Prier who is the Senior AFO Staff in this office as well as my supervisor to see if they have any comments/ suggestions.
