During the Pre-CERCLIS screening (September of 2000), a well at 2339 260th St. showed perchlorate contamination 10,7 ug/L which is below the EPA Region 9 Preliminary Remediation Goal of 18 ug/L. The Hazard Ranking System (HRS) Scoring Report scored the groundwater migration pathway at 9.87 with an overall site score of 4.93. This compares with the cut-off point score of 28.5. On October 22, 2003, this well and 4 other private wells in the area were sampled for the PA/SI. No VOCs were detected and it was determined that no significant threat to human health or the environment exists.
