An former Municipal Electric Plant Site with industrial activities dating back to the late 1800s. A Phase I and Phase II ESA, conducted as part of a community-wide brownfields assessment grant, discovered contamination in groundwater soil, groundwater, and vapor by total extractable hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds, and resource conservation and recovery act metals. Assessment is ongoing to determine the extent of contamination and potential risk to receptors.
