A former tank farm and barrel filling facility with a history of product storage dating back to 1898. The site is currently owned by the city and has been redeveloped into a highway corridor for a highway. Initial site assessments found contamination of VOCs, SVOCs, BTEX, and RCRA metals in the groundwater as well as petroleum saturated soil over a portion of the site. Following the assessments, the contaminated soil was excavated and replaced with clean fill. Post-remedial groundwater monitoring is ongoing to assess the effectiveness of the excavation at reducing the contamination plume.
