9/13/2016 Fields were in 9' high corn. Even though GPS coordinates were provided, the FO is tasked with verifying the RP's distances. I was unable to do this. I sent this email to central office but will still follow up with a memo: Will the letter from engineering require separation distances? And, if so, since it’s a one time application, does the FO need to verify the distance after harvest? I’m asking because I was unable to do that last week. What exactly do you need from the FO for these two non permitted fields? I planned on sending Thabit a memo documenting my observations – which will include the information that Greg Sindt sent with their GPS coordinates; however, I am unable to approve any distances based on the conditions on the field last week (i.e. not harvested). My memo will also document that portions of both of the proposed fields are in pasture – I don’t think they know that not all of the fields are in corn/bean ground. This honestly surprised me and the Essentia person who was with me when we saw the pasture ground in both fields. ALISON MANZ
