4/12/2012 We recently received a report from the permit holder that indicates 13 and 16 feet of leachate head in leachate piezometers LMW-10 (transition area cell) and LMW-11 (Cell 1). This exceeds the maximum level of 12 inches. During the next landfill inspection, perhaps the area on the low end of the cells could be inspected for the presence of leachate seeps and the position of valves draining these areas. I included a map that shows the location of LMEW-10 and 11. The last cleaning was in the fall of 2011 according to the recently received LCSPER. BILL GROSS

10/8/2012 10/5/12 - I received an email response from Jerry Henges (Terracon) with final grade elevations. I talked to Mike Smith, DNR Solid Waste Section, about a response. BILL GROSS
9/17/2012 9/17/12 - I emailed a response to Terracon's request to extend the deadline to 19/5/12. BILL GROSS
8/6/2012 8/3/12 - Terracon sends a letter indicating a plan will be submitted by 9/17/12. I emailed Jerry Hentges that they can only use lined areas (Transition Area and Cell 1). BILL GROSS
6/18/2012 I received a survey report which appears to show the fill elevation is higher than the final plan elevation. The DNR Solid Waste Section will likely respond to this issue along with the leachate management issue. BILL GROSS
6/18/2012 Mike Smith received a response. They are asking for a July 31, 2012, due date to allow for further study. BILL GROSS
4/26/2012 4/20/2012 - I sent a letter requesting an up to date elevations survey by 6/1/12. BILL GROSS
4/16/2012 leachate head measurements were 6.97' and 12.65' in LMW-10 and LMW-11, respectively. I also saw evidence of a leachate discharge from a leachate line cleanout, with much gas venting. See attached letter. BILL GROSS
