10/27/2015	From: Shaffer, Adam [DNR] Sent: Thursday, October 22, 2015 3:17 PM To: Koger, Nina [DNR] Cc: Miller, David [DNR] Subject: RE: Rural Iowa Landfill Work Order Request Hi Nina, On the 20th I met with Dan Aastrup and Doug Luzbetak of HLW Engineering Group. I inspected the new cell. It features staked corners, a liner covered in sand, and a thin plastic rain fly that is designed to keep the sand in place until waste is applied to that part of the cell. Dan Aastrup told me that when a part of the new cell is used that the liner will be slit so that it will not impede the leachate system. Everything looked well made and good to go.
