9/27/2011	Metro Park West has completed construction of the new disposal cell at the landfill. I had verbally and tentatively approved the construction project and this tenative approval was subject to the public comment period that ended on September 24th. No comments were received and I sent out the approval to construct today (amendment #3). They have now notified me that they have now essentially completed construction of the cell, so the design and our approval won't be available on docDNA for awhile (if you wanted to look it over before your inspection). Please contact CJ Lage at Barker Lemar 256-8814 to schedule the inspection, as he wants to be there to answer any questions. Thanks.	MICK LEAT

10/7/2011	Malia Schepers (FO5) and I met with metro Waste Authority and Barker Lemar staff and inspected the new cell. I found it acceptable. I do suggest diverting surface runoff from the north cell as deemed necessary. See the attached report and photos.	BILL GROSS
