7/24/2009	Mr. Quirk called a local Bayer representative. The field rep responded to the site. Contaminated soil and gravel was excavated and deposited in a "burn pit", which is located at the top of a hill. Quirk was advised by Bayer Crop Science to mix 1 gallon of bleach with 50 gallons of water and saturate the excavated material to deactivate the active ingredient. It is was recommended by Bayer to repeat this action in a week. Gray stated that chlorine will deactive the active ingredient in Balance Pro to nonbiologically active metabolites.	DNRHSIADMIN
