7/24/2009	The release occurred at 03:45 in the morning. Reportedly the release of product discontinued sometime thereafter but considerably before contacting the Department. I inquired whether the company contacted the NRC and was informed that they hadn't but was going to after they got done visiting with me. Reportedly, there was no evacuation as a result of the plume. I reminded Mr. Christensen of the company's responsibility to ensure that the Department was informed of the incident within 6 hours of the release. I also reminded Mr. Christensen of the necessity to contact the NRC.	DNRHSIADMIN
