(07/24/2009) Conducting routine exterior observation of No. 4. storage tank (diesel fuel) in our tank farm.  Noticed a wet spot on a plate joint seam where the tank wall meets the floor plate.  There is no visible leak or corrosion, no product on the ground.  This tank was taken out of service last June for interior cleaning and inspection for integrity.  All seams and plate thicknesses were checked, and passed inspection, no corrosion was noted.  We don't know what is causing the wet spot on the seam.  We will continue with additional observations and contact you if anything is found..--- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Status Update 10-10-05 - - Per George Kueny.  After through cleaning of stained metal seams, the dark weep spot has returned - no free product loss - just the dark wet spot.  Plan to begin transfer of product out of tank now. By early November 05' we will reinspect the tank interior to determine cause.  May install tank liner.  Will keep DNR posted on results.  End of update - - - dja.
