4/21/2014	I spoke with Mr. Schmitz site owner on 4/17/14 regarding this complaint and he stated that he'd have the site manager call me back because he was unsure of how the barn was being operated. On 4/21/14 Joe VanMoer Production Manager with Pipestone Systems called me back. He said that they took over management of this site 2/1/14 and since that time they have replaced a lot of piping, waterers, etc. and they have cleaned out many plugged lines, so they have used more than the required 50% dilution water. The barns have the plugs pulled and are water flushed weekly now. Mr. VanMoer is aware of the water meters and will send via email water use records for the next 3 months. He stated that the odor was more noticeable when the ice went off the lagoons, which is typical. He feels that their new management and care of the buildings should produce good results and they are aware of the dilution water that must be added. Mr. VanMoer can be reached at (507)215-1881.
