8/21/2015	At 7:15 21AUG15 Jeff Vansteenburg directed me to investigate a report of a fire at the Landfill of North Iowa. When I arrived the gate was locked, no one was in the office, I saw no smoke and I initially believed nothing was amiss. The office clerk arrived at 7:30 and let me in, and I went back to the working face where I found the operators spreading out and spraying some charred waste. They said that the operators arrived to find yesterday's working face ablaze. The Clear Lake Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire and the liner was untouched. They could not determine the cause, but it was believed to be some kind of hot load from yesterday. I reminded them of the hot load recordkeeping requirement in 567 IAC 113.8. No further action required.	DAVID MILLER
