4/14/2022 I also observed a lot of litter due to recent windy weather. Some litter collection was taking place at the time. I informed Jon Penheiter and Art Kern that I would be back in the near future (after calmer weather occurs) to check on litter collection and control. They said they are working with land owners to the southeast to collect litter from their fields. BILL GROSS
4/14/2022 I went to the landfill yesterday (a couple photos attached). The fire had been in the active area and moved northward until the access road stopped it.. Some cover tarps were destroyed, but otherwise there was no damage, I only saw a small pile of smoldering material the next afternoon. They used water, soil, and flyash to extinguish the fire.
