10/3/2023 RE: EPA fact sheet External Inbox Chad DeVore 2:20?PM (5 minutes ago) to me, dave@ankenysanitation.com I spoke with members of our Water Resources work group, who have experience with GP #1 and the associated SWPPP. They just got me the proposal information and I have assembled the Professional Services Agreement and am awaiting signatures by one of our authorized personnel. Once I have this signed agreement, I will email it to Dave for his review and signature. Upon receipt of the executed agreement, we will begin the project which will include obtaining GP#1 and preparing the necessary SWPPP. Chad DeVore, P.E. Civil Engineer Snyder & Associates, Inc. 9/12/2023 General Permit #1 follow up Gastineau, Janet <janet.gastineau@dnr.iowa.gov> Attachments 7:31?AM (2 minutes ago) to dave Good morning and thanks again for meeting with me yesterday. My interest during my visit was compliance with the Iowa DNR’s NPDES General Permit No. 1 for Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity. General NPDES Permits allow the Iowa DNR to allocate resources in an efficient manner to provide more timely permit coverage, without expending the time and money necessary to issue individual permits to each facility. In addition, using a general permit ensures consistency of permit conditions for similar facilities. As a transportation facility that is involved with vehicle maintenance and equipment cleaning operations, it would appear your facility is subject to the requirements of this permit, but if you provide me with your standard industrial classification (SIC) I can confirm that. A copy of the permit is attached. To apply for coverage under the permit, please refer to https://programs.iowadnr.gov/stormwater/pages/eAppIntro. A stormwater pollution prevention plan must be developed prior to making application for coverage. JANET GASTINEAU
