1/21/2022	Visited Chamness to check the site conditions. Checked for signs of new feedstocks that may have been brought in to see if they were in compliance with the waste prohibition. No new feedstocks were observed. The east and west lagoons were pumped down leaving ~4-5' of freeboard. The middle lagoon was still brim full, but not running over. This was the first visit that I observed that some dirt was added to the southwest corner of both the middle and east lagoon which will help prevent runover when the lagoons are so full (which shouldn't happen as they should maintain 2' of freeboard). I've conveyed my observations to Chamness staff, including Gary and Doug. Also, I've reached out to both Gary and Doug and asked them to develop a plan of action to address spring thaws and how they'll ensure to keep leachate from quickly filling up the east and west lagoons and to keep them from overflowing.
