8/6/2018	I met landfill manager Don Ballalatak at the landfill to discuss solid waste disposal issues related to the recent tornado damage in Marshalltown. I reminded him to not place C&D waste on the first lift of a cell. I told him to cover meat waste from JBS as soon as possible. he said they would only accept 25 loads per day of meat. He said that most appliances and metal are going to Gervich Metal Recycling direct. I appeared that things were under control at that time at the landfill, though much more disposal will be necessary in the future.	BILL GROSS
