4/30/2014	I drove by all 3 of Muhlbauer’s feedlots this morning. None of them appeared to be discharging. Based on past observations, I would expect the greatest potential for a discharge to be at the south lot so I checked the crossing under 370th Street. There was very little flow. The water was clear with 0.2 ppm ammonia, per a low range field test kit. The goal for this morning was to sample a discharge. It appeared that they hadn’t had enough rain to produce a discharge so I returned to the office. I did not contact anyone at the feedlot. I believe that, if they get a couple inches of rain instead of a couple tenths, the south and, possibly, the middle lots will discharge. The Field Office will continue to evaluate a suitable time to sample a discharge at a later date. Additionally, a desktop assessment will be conducted and an on-site inspection will be scheduled, likely first quarter of FY15.	DAN OLSON
