9/23/2014	Leonard Pistek from Britt called on 19SEP14 and stated that Michaels Foods was preparing to spray their egg wash water on a field near his home and he was concerned the wind would carry it on to his property. I pulled up the Permit and read him some provisions, including the 300 foot property line setback. I emailed him the permit so he could read all the requirements. I checked with DNR Wastewater and they said that they had received Michael’s application to revise the permit to include another spay field, but they were waiting on additional submittals from Michaels and had taken no action. I was in this area on 22SEP14 and stopped by the Pistek home. Mr. Pistek stated that the spray equipment had been installed in the field directly across the road from his home (I couldn’t see it since the corn was still in) and that he was attempting to convince the County Supervisors to prohibit the construction of the pipeline from the lagoons to the sprayer. I advised Mr. Pistek that the permit process would include a public notice period, and he could formally express his concerns at that time. I gave him the contact information for Mark Valmore, the DNR wastewater engineer, who could update him on what was going on with the permit.	DAVID MILLER
