Work was completed during the first week of August-2017. Images are below. JANET GASTINEAU

5/5/2017 McCurnin, Mike Attachments7:24 AM (15 minutes ago) to me, Mike, Jennifer, Jeff, Ted, Carter Janet: In response to your inquiry: 1. Well log for Army Post Road ASR is attached. 2. A sensor from DRUCK will be installed w/in the bore hole to measure water levels. See attached invoicing. 3. There are three pumps at the station rated at 2000 gpm @ 79’ of TDH. An excerpt from on-line manuals briefly describes station operations: The Airport Booster Station is an underground vault containing 3 VFD pumps that operate to maintain an elevated pressure for the area surrounding the DSM Airport. The pumps alternate every 3 days with the ability for the operator to force alternate for maintenance purposes. The pumps also have a Lead/Lag function where if the lead pump is running above 97% a second pump will run to help maintain pressure (this rarely occurs and may indicate a main break). The discharge set point can be changed and the pumps can be run manually as well. 4. To my knowledge there is no prescribed inspection or inspection interval for our intakes. We presently rely upon staff observations that may occur during normal station operations. If sub-water surface inspections and observations are recommended we will ask for that to be in the report. 5. See #4. 6. Towers at Alleman and Bondurant were inspected in September of 2015 via Liquivision Technology Diving Services. See attached reports. We appreciated your time this week. We will review our notes and follow with other information requests shortly. JANET GASTINEAU
5/2/2017 Gastineau, Janet <[email protected]> 9:35 AM (0 minutes ago) to mccurnin, Contact, Jennifer The following can be provided Thursday or respond electronically at your earliest convenience. Do you have the well log for the Army Post ASR well? If so, please have a copy available for Thursday or send electronically. Is there a level sensor in the Army Post ASR well? Or will you be using some other means to monitor levels? Pump capacity at Airport Booster Station? When was the last time the Des Moines River intake was inspected? Is there a regular frequency for inspection of this intake structure? Based on records from the 2014 survey, the Alleman and Bondurant EST were to be inspected in 2014. Did this get done and could I get a copy of the inspection summaries from both. I will contact Ted to schedule a visit on the distribution system and obtain from a him a list of past storage facility inspections and those scheduled for the future. Thank you. JANET GASTINEAU
