6/20/2012	Met with Mark Beck onsite to discuss permit amendment allowing for operation of temporary transfer station until burned facility is rebuilt. I visited on the second day the temp. facility was operating so they hadn't received much waste. We discussed the requirement to load the material in the trailers ASAP and that no waste should be left on the floor overnight. There are no drains in the temp. building or near the loadout area to capture leachate so we discussed the need to keep these areas clean. I observed a push wall had been constructed out of 2x6's and a skid loader was being used to load the trailers. Waste is being hauled to IL as it was before. The County intends to rebuild the transfer station on the same footprint, possibly salvaging the concrete. The scale has been recertified. Staff are uncertain if the compactor works because power is not available to run it.	BRIAN JERGENSON
