11/12/2019	Email from Cindy Turkle, site cosultant: Good Morning Bert and Matt, The contractor mobilized to the Cedar County Landfill between rains and the snow. He had soil hauled in on Friday and did the repairs on Saturday. We did not have much prior notice to let you know and I was not able to drive out there either. Gary went out on Saturday and took these pictures but the contractor had already left. According to Gary, the contractor was going to reseed the disturbed areas, but I think it might be a little late in the season. I will try to visit with the contractor if possible. With the weather having been wet on the east side of the state, I am sure he is busy. At least some of the repairs were done even if the soil is still wet. If this winter is like last year, it is likely more repairs will be needed after the spring rains. Please have patience, Gary and the Commission are trying to take care of the closed landfill, it is just more difficult not having the equipment available and the frequent rains limiting dry opportunities to conduct repairs.
