9/21/2017	On 8/28/2017 I visited this SLF and met with operator Eric Werner. The primary purpose of this visit was to discuss whether the SLF had or was receiving any waste tires from Mr. Rick Andrews. Mr. Werner informed me that he had not received any waste tires from him since around June 2017. While on site I observed landfill operations. It was noted that several areas lacked cover. Mr. Werner stated they would address these areas and place adequate cover on them. In addition, I expressed concern over their fill sequence. They had three active areas; two for C & D and one for daily fill. It appears their current municipal waste area takes water from up above, causing them to move around during wet weather, then back to the original spot after things dry out. The moving around when using a tarp to cover, especially due to we weather, can make providing daily cover more challenging. We discussed fill sequence and I asked that he review his approved plan. He stated he would review it and also contact his landfill engineer for any assistance.	CHAD KEHRLI
