9/22/2011	The hazmat ID was not functioning correctly. Since the material appeared to be some type of an oil, the team ran a PCB test and took a pH reading. The tests came back 50 ppm PCB and pH=7. Steve Brown reported on 9/22/2011 that about 10 gallons of material got into a storm sewer and that Hydro-Klean was hired to clean out the storm sewer and properly dispose of the oil. The hazmat team placed floor dry and booms by the door to the building. The R & R Commercial was contacted, but they have not returned calls yet. Lee is working with the City of Des Moines and Polk County to find ways to get rid of the drums in the building, and secure it from future vandalism.	KATHY LEE
9/23/2011	Spoke with Kurt Mumm on 9/22/2011. Ruhl and Ruhl Commercial's role in the property ended when Regency Cap Fund went into receivership. He is not sure what entity owns the property now, but he is willing to assist where he can. He stated the buildingi is vulnerable to vandalism and that homeless people may be staying there. Lee left a message for Bob Cox, Des Moines Hazmat, regarding an inspection of the building for possible hazardardous materials.	KATHY LEE
