Dan Niemeier called to inquire about liability of owning land and hog site owner possibly over applies, if the landowner who signed a lease would be at risk. The reason he called was because Rhonda Burnside is working with new leaser of the hog site putting together a manure management plan and the acres are now less than when sold a few years ago. The new MMP shows only corn on corn for the planned application of the fields. 

I had questioned Mr. Niemeier if that was their current practice and he said it is not, that you could look at past years aerial and see the fields are in a corn/bean rotation. If that is the case then there would not be enough acres in MMP to cover the manure produced with current fields and rates listed. There could have been possible over application on prior year 2024? Would need to check past years records with what the crop rotation was that year. - There was a DNR Inspection in June 2025. Rhonda is working with the new leasee to get things planned correctly and within the bounds of the law, but prior year are uncertain. Ben Isaacson is the contact on the MMP and he is not the one who works the building itself, he is a consultant working on behalf of Alta Site owner and finding the leasee for the hog site.

10/9/2025	Previous manure applications have been compliant. No manure has been applied this fall. Rhonda Burnside with AgState is the new consultant for the site and ensured she would make sure any fields being applied with manure will be in the MMP and have been sampled.	DANIEL MORSE
