10/15/2021	I visited the landfill and met with Greg Hicks, Jon Penheiter, Art Kern, and Josie Lehman. Greg showed me Well 151R. Leachate was being directed onto the ground on Phase 2 with a hose with holes. The area where it was being discharged had black deposits--solids that they reportedly were trying to keep out of the leachate collection line. I saw no runoff. The pump was operating automatically with a liquid float switch inside the well. hence, it could pump at any time. Art Kern and Jon Penheiter agreed to put the pump on a timer so it only operates when people are present, and can be turned off during rainy periods.	BILL GROSS
