4/26/2012	I investigated on 4-25-12. Definitely water leaking into the ditch and orange colored sediment (iron precipitate) in the ditch. Pictures were taken to document conditions. I contacted Brett Vette, the landfill manager by phone to discuss. This leak is reported to be from a tile line system designed to allow surface water to flow around this closed portion of the landfill. They know about it and routinely sample it. Bob Bamsey, contract engineer for the landfill, is scheduled to sample this water within the next week or two. He will make sure he copies FO 1 on the sampling results. There is nothing to indicate that this water and orange colored sediment are hazardous chemicals.	DOUG HAWKER
