5/21/2021	Stormwater database shows permit has been issued with a 3/1/26 expiration date.	BILL GROSS
4/29/2021	Julies Stone (319-269-9170) called with questions about the permit application. I directed her to the DNR site ith forms including a public notice form.	BILL GROSS
3/15/2021	I discovered this facility does not have a stormwater discharge permit. This is required in the attached letter.	BILL GROSS
3/12/2021	I met with the manager Jeff Holmes, et al. and walked around the yard. I saw several places where there were oil stains on the ground--mostly on concrete. Some equipment was leaking oil. The worst area with oil on the ground (not all on concrete) was at the east end where metal shavings were being stored. Most of hte oil was cutting/lubricating oil. I saw no runoff. I requested that the shavings be stored on concrete with runoff containment. Jeff indicated they could move it to the north and use absorbent socks and other mechanisms to control runoff. I discussed their pollution prevention plan and site inspections. I told him that this type of issue needs to be included in the plan. See the attached letter with photos.	BILL GROSS
