1/25/2017	I visited the likely site on January 24 and 25th. A field on the southeast side of Denver, sec 30, owned by Tom Millius, appeared black. No stream is in the field but a tile outlet enters the ditch and then flows north through the golf course. The water was clear and no manure impact was observed. The field likely was injected last fall. The field had areas of mud and corn stalk debris. There was no odor and no manure residue in the field. Some brush was in the northwest corner of the field in an area that likely ran off. I talked with a neighbor who was walking adjacent to the field. She stated that trees had recently been removed from the site but no manure applied. I visited a nearby dairy, once owned by Tom Millius. No one was on site. I also stopped at the Millius residence and did not make any contact. Jon Jelsma later contacted FO1 by phone and is the owner operator of the dairy. No violation was observed and no manure discharge was observed. Soil likely discharged from the site following recent rain events.	RICK MARTENS
