11/12/2020	After further research, it was determined that this project needed a water use permit. Gave Kevin the web site for the permit application and Michael Anderson's number to call if further questions.	JEFF THEOBALD
11/5/2020	11/3/20 - met with Kevin at his new dairy and talked about what he is doing in the middle of the corn field just south of the dairy. Kevin contacted the Marshall Co., which they contacted Story Co. to see if ok for him to tap into the county tile that drains a lot of water, even water from Story Co. which eventually ends up in the North Skunk River. They gave him the OK. He then put a tin basin (~10-12 feet wide and ~15-20 feet deep) in the ground next to the county tile, then tapped into the tile from put a steel pipe connecting the two, allowing the tin basin to fill up to the level of the tile of the water the follows in the county tile. This is about 10-12 feet deep of water and will only fill up to this level. Next he will put a pump in the tin basin and pump water to his dairy to be used for wash and drinking water for the cows. Kevin has also diverted most all of the clean storm water from his new site, by tile to the county tile to the west of the site.	JEFF THEOBALD
