3/23/2016	On March 23, I contacted the City of Evansdale and later received a call from Mayor Doug Saas. Mayor Saas contacted the contractor for complaint details. He noted that the school was being demolished and asbestos inspections had been conducted. He also described the property the clean cement was being added to as belonging to a Pattison. He noted that sand had been removed and replaced with the cement slabs as a surface. No flood plain permit was required. I provided the Iowa DNR Flood Plain Helpline # if additional assistance were required. I also suggested city staff view the site to determine compliance with flood plain rules. Mayor Saas stated he would have staff inspect the site. No violation noted and no field office investigation is scheduled.	RICK MARTENS
