6/4/2009	Observed new cell construction. There is a drainage ditch leading from the storm water pond that contains some sediment. Walked a significant portion of the creek leading to the Des Moines river. Did not observed anything to suggest that the creek is overwhelmed with sediment or having a "backing up" issue. The landfill director indicated that there are several people who are upset that they are removing a "fishing pond" for construction of the new cell and he believes the complaint may have been in response to the closure. No issues noted in my inspection.	ERIC WIKLUND
