5/13/2014	Due to little to no hours at this time in the solid waste program I called Ottumwa landfill supervisor Steve Jones to inform him of the complaint. Steve said that some litter did reach the Reck's property on a particular windy day but that they had retrieved it. He also siad that in addition to the perimeter fence and fence around the working face that he had ordered another type of portable fence to use in particularly windy weather. Mr. Jones also said he has proposed a 10 foot high perimeter fence but is awaiting approval to buy. I informed him that he needed to take whatever steps necesary to prevent future incidents of off site wind blown litter and that in the case of off site litter it would need to be picked daily.
