3/9/2012	I have had ongoing correspondance with the operator, David Webb and Water Supply Engineering following my sanitary survey conducted on 2-8-2012 regarding grease used in vertical turbine well pumps. Inspection required them to switch to an NSF-61 grade grease per ESS and 10-States Standards. The PWS is currently using an NSF H-2 registered grease which is a non-food contact grease. After investigation, I found out there is no such thing as a NSF 61 certified grease for use on mechanical equipment. Contacted WSE staff and they asked 10-States group for input. WSE responded that an NSF registered H-1 grease will be acceptable. See attached emails for more detail.	AARON PICKENS
