5/25/2011	Jeremy Klatt and I inspected FMC's new cell (again) to measure a couple of places in the sand layer. They called for an inspection last fall but had already covered the cell with clay at that time. We measured the layer in two low areas in the northeast corner of the cell and the thickness was 14-15" inches. I approved them to begin land-filling in the cell, and they said the plan is to landfill along the east side first and then tie into the adjacent fill area (Phase I). I noted no problems with how they were removing the clay. I'll probably spot-check some more areas the next time I stop out.	MICHELLE JOHNSON
