11/19/2025	Met with Collin Sudol as a follow-up to the April start-up inspection. I observed the area where appliances are demanufactured and stored prior to demanufacturing. No appliances were on site. I observed their records and it was noted that the demanufacturing log is maintained by month. Collin indicated that he is the only person who demanufactures and he usually does this on Saturdays. We discussed keeping a more detailed log that included the number of components (mercury, PBC capacitors and refrigerant removed). PCB storage area records were also on site. Records indicate 15 fewer appliances are demanufactured each month. He indicated that auto refrigerant and appliance refrigerant are put into the same container. He will keep these separate moving forward, to better account for the refrigerant removed from appliances. It was noted that the refrigerant container was filled, and we discussed where he would be taking that and the documentation he should receive. No mercury switches have been found. There were some PCB capacitors in the container. The date on the container was 5/15/2025. He plans to take this to the RCC at the landfill before the end of the year. It was recommended he reach out to the RCC beforehand to ensure staff were on hand to provide documentation to him upon receipt Collin had questions related to the stormwater permit.
