4/18/2017	On 4/04/17 I visited this facility and met with Aaron Cowell, employee. Mr. Cowell reported that this transfer station is owned by the same company as Black Hawk Disposal and is no longer opened to the public. This facility rarely receives solid waste from Black Hawk trucks, and only in a time of need such as closing of the Black Hawk SLF or a broken down truck, etc. The majority of the time the only solid waste transferred from this facility is that which is generated on site through sorting of recyclables. While on site I noted only a small amount of solid waste over the chute opening to the compactor. It was reported that solid waste is hauled out every 48 hours. A blank copy of the Departments Transfer Station Inspection Form was provided to Mr. Cowell and I informed him that I would be back in the future to inspect the facility using the form provided to him.
