12/4/2017 On 12/04/17 I observed this tire processing operation. My visit was followed up with a phone converstation with owner Jason Delaney latter on this same day. Jason indicated that he has been in contact with Mel Pins, DNR SW, and is working to fianlize his preliminary site plan to submit for comments from Mel. It was noted that tire shreds continue to be stored along and against the south side of the repair building. I informed Jason that I do not beleive the large pile of shreds can be stored within 50 feet of the repair building. He will confirm with Mr. Pins. Jason has tractor and large sprayer tires stored on the side hill NW of the repair building. He is doing this because he can get quite a few in at one time and it is easier to lay them out to cut out the feed bunks. He said he had spoken with Mr. Pins about this and that this area outside the fencing would be included in his preliminary site plan. Jason stated he is still not accepting any outside tires until his site plan is approved. He said he will be building a hoop building this week to store his portable shreeder. He stated he would like to have a finalized and approved site plan by the end of the month and plans on inviting Mr. Pins on site. He is planning on installing concrete bukers to delineate areas for tires, shreds, etc. to keep everything orderly. I encouraged him to include measurements of the areas in his site plan that he submits. CHAD KEHRLI
