5/17/2011	I (Miller) conducted an inspection or the closed Kossuth County Landfill on May 10, 2011. The following actions are required - see inspection report for details: 1.The terrace retention wall near KL-2 must be repaired. Mr. Karels’ proposed solution of putting in a plastic tile letdown is acceptable, but this work must be completed by June 30, 2011. DNR Field Office #2 must be notified when emergency measures such as breachin a terrace wall for drainage are undertaken. 2.The removal and regrading of the terraces on the west side of the east area must be completed and reseeded this season in time for cover vegetation to be established prior to winter. DNR Field Office #2 must be notified in advance when this work is scheduled. All other areas in which vegetation is not established should be reseeded at this time.	DAVID MILLER
